Cover illustration:
Appropriately, our special issue devoted to the genus Pachypodium begins with a fine cover
photo of P.densiflorum taken by Gerald Barad some 20 km west of Itremo, Madagascar. Here, on lichen-covered
rocks above a river-wash, this old specimen is in full flower in mid-October, near the end of the dry season.
Kalanchoes, senecios and orchids grew nearby. |
