You'll find details about the Society, about membership, and about our Journal and Annual Meeting and Show. We feature a different Mammillaria each month, and sometimes these include newly described species. November UPDATE!! First a plea for help! In the editorial of the August 1971 journal it refers to a supplement, which was described as the most important study on the genus Mammillaria that had been published by the Mammillaria Society up to that point. It included Mr Hunt's proposals for the classification of Mammillaria species. The editorial also says that it was simultaneously published in the journal of the CSSGB. If anyone has access to this supplement please contact the Webmaster as below.
We hope you will share our delight in this genus of plants, that stretches from Central America and the Caribbean through all of Mexico and deep into the Western States of the USA. New discoveries are being made all the time, and this web site will feature them once described in the appropriate Journal. |
ENJOY!!
