Sphaeroid Institute Plant List 17.0
VALENTINE'S DAY'S LEFTOVERS AND POPOVERS

February 12, 2010

The least-appetizing recipe in the post-war Joy of Cooking has got to be Turnips Stuffed with Leftover Food. How we have progressed in culinary fashion! And so with horticulture. Nothing so plain as a Congeries of Dumplins, or Mesembryanthemum minutum; it's now Conophytum minutum var. minutum HBG 376570, 4.251 km SSSWW of Langspielberg under a full moon on eroded anchorite, or: Haworthia truncata var. truncata 'Ninja Worrier' x H. truncata var. maughanii 'Blue Belles' F22. You pays your money and takes your label-lengthening choice.

But I digress. It's a bit wet to issue a list, don't you think? Well yes, but by the same token the perpetual rains have kept many winter-loving plants moist, active, and shippable long past their usual pull-by dates and indeed some species woke up only recently and are thus eminently shippable. Also, I've spent a fortune on ferrocrete shorings-up and have tired of dining exclusively on parboiled pinto beans. (Still, what marvelous fecundity they can engender.)

Hence the following easy-to-order items! Let me know which of our vegetable cousins you'd like to grow, and I'll let you know which ones are still available. Some species will probably vanish quickly.
