The following plants have been propagated from seed or cuttings. We believe that the sale of wild collected plants is generally ecologically unethical. In addition to plants grown in pots, we have a greenhouse devoted to plants planted in the floor of the greenhouse so the plants can have free root-run. This enables the plants to grow much more rapidly and obtain a larger size. As a result, we will trim roots, etc. for shipping and the plants will have some characteristics of plants grown in the wild. The sale of these plants supports botanical research, propagation and botanical expeditions to look for new taxa and to collect seed. Specimens are made and sent to appropriate herbaria. We appreciate your financial support when you purchase our plants. When you grow these plants your efforts help distribute germplasm and make it less likely that these plants will become extinct. Please keep any collection numbers with your plants as this allows the plants to be traced to their geographical location in habitat.

All plants are sent at any time of year at the purchaser's risk. We try to time winter shipments between freezing cold fronts.

Please list some substitutes as we may be out of some species.

The pot size is the size that the plant should be planted in when you receive it. Please feel free to inquire about plants we do not have listed as sometimes we have too few to list.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

For small shipments of plants most countries do not require an import permit from their agriculture department although Argentina now requires a permit while Canada recently dropped this requirement. Be on the safe side and call your agriculture department as regulations can change. Some countries restrict entry of certain plants but our department of agriculture has an accurate and extensive listing of what plants are restricted from which countries.

Please note:
Plants marked with * are CITES Appendix II plants and need a CITES document to enter your country. Those marked with ** are either CITES Appendix I plants or we were unable to obtain export permits by the time we went to press and these plants cannot be exported to your country. We regret that we can no longer ship CITES II plants to Europe as the European Community no longer honors CITES permits valid for three years.
