One of its main aims is to make contact with the hundreds of other enthusiasts scattered around Cyprus, a country where a near-perfect climate exists for many of these amazing plants. The Society encourages and educates hobbyists in the cultivation and propagation of cacti and other succulents. It also creates awareness and aims to encourages research in the many endemic species and contribute to their preservation in the wild.
Furthermore it advises and encourages people to use these most rewarding, drought resistant plants in the Cyprus garden as many cacti and other succulents other than being excellent structural plants are wonderful companions to the Mediterranean xerophytes.
